Who is Eligible?
Northland Cares' clinic is open to all people living with HIV/AIDS. Northland Cares accepts a variety of insurances (including AHCCCS) and also has a sliding fee scale for patients without insurance.
Our Clinical Care Team
Our team is dedicated to caring for people living with HIV/AIDS. We work together to help you maintain your best possible health. We're also here to give you effective, up-to-date medical care for HIV-related problems.
Your medical team may include general internists, medical assistants, behavioral health professionals, and office staff. Each member of our team is experienced in HIV care. Research shows that patients who are treated by doctors with special training in HIV are:
- Generally happier with their care
- Admitted to the hospital less frequently
- Less likely to switch doctors
- More likely to live longer
What You Can Expect from Us
During your first appointment you will meet our office staff, a case manager, and a physician who specializes in HIV care. All of these specialists are members of your "care team." Get to know them; it's nice to hear a friendly voice when you call or come in, and they will be eager to help.
